What is Nippers?

Venus Bay Surf Life Saving Club Nippers is a program designed specifically to teach children between the ages of 5 and 13 the fundamentals of a surf beach and open water safety. Our aim is to encourage children to feel confident around the beach and surf, in doing so knowing where and when it is safe to swim or surf. We teach children the different aspects of surf life saving and competition with the hope that they all enjoy themselves, whilst learning life skills. Some if not all will go on to become surf lifesavers, a true Australian tradition and a vital contribution to our voluntary community.
